During 2024-25 the Chamber saw a 13% increase in applications compared to the level of applications received in 2023-24. This is the highest annual volume of applications received to date. However, despite the challenges faced by the Chamber, thanks to the hard work of the tribunal judiciary and SCTS staff, 8% more cases were closed in the year from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 than during the previous year, which is a very positive outcome.
A statistical report has been prepared on the work of the Chamber for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. The summary provides details of the types of cases which are heard by the Housing and Property Chamber, the procedure the chamber applications follow, and, as with previous years, statistical information.
